He released his first music titled “Givenchy” on November 23, 2017. The professional song video of the music was using WorldstarHipHop on their YouTube channel on November 24, 2017. Over 26 million views have been recorded on YouTube for the music so far. “Take Me Serious” was his first EP released on March 17, 2018.
After releasing a few singles, he signed a contract with Epic Records in June 2018. Soon, he came up with music titled “Arguments” on June 1, 2018. The music turned out to be a big hit. It was even licensed Gold by the RIAA on April 15, 2020.
His 2d EP titled “Sorry for the Hold Up” hit the ground on March 22, 2019. The professional song video of the music proposing singer Queen Naija was launched on June 18, 2019. It received over 18 million YouTube views.

One of DDG’s most prominent relationships was with Kennedy Cymone, a YouTuber and social media star. The couple started dating in 2017 and kept their romance well-documented on their individual social media accounts. Despite their healthy relationship, their engagement ended in the summer of 2018.
